To maintain a multidisciplinary dialogue among scientists and trainees, the Center sponsors a number of activities. These are critical for the Center's success considering the scientific cultural and language barriers present between the biomedical disciplines and the computational disciplines. The activities include bi-weekly seminars and a two-day annual retreat and symposium. The latter is arranged to bring together all center members, trainees and collaborators, scientific Steering Committee members and invited guests to discuss research progress, recent developments in the field, and to conduct long range planning. Importantly, center members, trainees and selected advisory members will have the opportunity to present their research in both a lecture and poster format.
